I think the Art Portal was a great idea. It's will bring more users to the site, more speciffically artists. It's just starting out now, but as long as it is handled correctly and moderated well it should not just work fine but also improve. Even though I'm not a writer I'm excited for the Lit Portal too, for the same reason.

I mean, yes, now we have an art portal. Before, it went strait into the forum (which nobody looked at) or you put it in flash movie, and slapped "so and so's art reel" on it.
But, do we REALLY need one?
